Description

Folios: 390-390v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Grant.

First party: R, abbot, and the Augustinian convent of Grimesby [Grimsby].

Second party: Walter, son of Alan de Burc.

Place or subject: One toft in the vill of Manby, in which was situated the windmill, and on the west side of the vill upon Hallewang six acres of arable land and one perch, and on the east side of the vill five acres, namely upon Esterwalding two acres, two acres at Blakelhompit and one acre upon Mikelberthe by the land of Robert son of Gilbert towards the south, and also three acres of meadow in Gamelescroft between the meadows of Gilbert son of Roger. To hold freely, quietly and honourably with all appurtenances within the vill and outside, paying 12d yearly for all service at the feast of St Botolph.
