First party: Robert, son of Ranulf Russell of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby].
Second party: Ranulf Russell, his father, of the same vill.
Place or subject: Four selions of arable land lying in a croft late of Ranald, with an embankment and the sides on the north abutting upon Neudic and the southern sides abutting upon the royal way, namely lying between the land of Ranulf Russell and the land of William the smith. To hold in fee and inheritance, freely, quietly and absolutely to Ranulf, his heirs and assigns of Robert and his heirs, paying 7d yearly to the lord of the fee at four terms, namely 1½d at Christmas, 1½d at Easter, 2d at the feast of St Botolph, and 2d at Michaelmas, for all service, custom and exaction.
