Folio: 382v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.
First party: William son of John and Gilbert, his brother.
Second party: Robert, son of Ranulf Russell of Salfletby [Saltfleetby].
Place or subject: Four selions of arable land lying between the land of Ranulf Russell and the land of William the smith in one croft late of Ragneld, with the embankment and sides on the north abutting upon Neudic and the southern sides abutting upon the royal way. To hold in fee and inheritance, freely, quietly and absolutely to Robert, his heirs or assigns of William and Gilbert and their heirs, paying 7d yearly to the lord of the fee at four terms, viz 1½d at Christmas, 1½d at Easter, 2d at the feast of St Botolph, and 2d at Michaelmas, for all service, custom and exaction. For this quitclaim Robert gave William and Gilbert two marks in advance.
