Description

Folio: 382v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Walter, son of Godric son of Ranulf de Sumercotes [Somercotes].

Second party: Philip Galle of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: 8d of annual rent which Walter was accustomed to receive from Adam the carpenter and Hawise, his wife, and their heirs from Skitebroc [Skidbrooke]. And William Blounterouyn of the same vill for the tenement he held from Walter at the port of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby], Edsabinario and Saltthotholme, lying next to Gurnes on the south side and the land of Adam and Maud de Retheby [Raithby] on the north side, namely the whole service with appurtenances and the whole right and claim which could fall to Walter or his hiers from those men or their tenements. Whose limits abut towards the east upon the royal way and towards the west upon the great creek. For 8s which Philip gave to Walter in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, in fee and inheritance.
