Description

Folios: 379-379v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: John, son of Robert de Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip Galle of the same vill.

Place or subject: One acre and a half of arable land lying in the territory of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby] in the place called Sclanle next between the land which was of Osbert Frankys on the east side and the land of Henry the carpenter on the west side, and it abuts towards the south upon the land of the heir of Peter Galle and towards the north upon le Gristt. Without any reservation, for a certain sum of money which Philip gave to John in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly, and for one half acre of which Philip is enfeoffed by John's gift via his charter, 4d at the terms appointed in the fee, for all services, secular customs, suits of courts and demands.
