Description

Folios: 378v-379. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Lambert Curtesys of Cokerinton [Cockerington], with the advice and assent of Syot, his wife, and his heirs.

Second party: Philip Galle of Salfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Half an acre of arable land with appurtenances in the territory of Cokerinton [Cockerington] lying on the east side of the vill next between Philip's land on the west side and the land of John son of Maud on the east side, abutting towards the south upon Philip's land and towards the north upon the way of William de Reddeburne. Without any reservation. For a certain sum of money which Philip gave to Lambert in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs of Lambert and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to Lambert and his heirs one clove at the feast of St Botolph for all services, secular customs, suits of courts and demands.
