Description

Folio: 378. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: William, son of John son of Osbert de Salfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Master John Galle of the same.

Place or subject: One acre, three perches and nineteen 'falls' of meadow and pasture lying in the southern meadows and in the vill of Salfletby [Saltfleetby], one acre of which lies in the southern meadows of Saltfleetby between the meadow of John Wyther on the west side and the meadow which was of John Bentolyn on the east side, and it abuts towards the south upon the meadow which was of Thomas de Lyndeshay [Lindsey] and towards the north upon the meadow of Gilbert the tailor (scissoris); and three perches and nineteen 'falls' of pasture lie in that vill between the land of Gilbert the tailor on the west side and the land which was of William Gled on the east side, and it abuts towards the north upon Neudyckgate and towards the south upon Gilbert's land. To hold to John and his heirs and assigns of the lord of the fee freely, quietly, peacefully and in inheritance, doing to the lord of the fee the service which pertains to that land at four terms of the year appointed in the soke of Gaython [Gayton] for all services and demands.
