Description

Folio: 374. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: John, son of Peter Galle of Salfletby [Saltfleetby], knight.

Second party: Richard de Hudeleston.

Place or subject: Fifteen acres of meadow in the territory of Salfletby [Saltfleetby] called Gristecroft, and two acres of meadow in the south meadows of the same, called Barelandes, lying next to the land of Walter Galle on the east side, and it abuts on the north side upon Mardykegate, with all appurtenances, liberties and easements. To hold during the whole of Richard's life, for his homage and service, of John and his heirs or assigns freely, quietly, well and in peace, paying yearly to them 1d at Christmas, doing also to the lords of the fee the custom due for the same tenements, for all secular services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
