Description

Folios: 373-373v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: John, son of Walter de Oxcumbe of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip Galle of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Two acres of meadow and two parts of half an acre with appurtenances lying in the west meadows, one acre of which lies at the north side of Saladyndayle between the land of nuns of Leckeburne [Legbourne] on the west side and the land of John, son of Walter of Raytheby [Raithby] on the east side, whose limits abut towards the north upon Mardic and towards the south upon Philip's land; and one acre lies between the land of Oter on the east side and the land which was of Robert son of Osbert on the west side, whose limits abut towards the north upon Philip's land and towards the south upon Oter's land; and two parts of half an acre lying between Oter's land on the east side and the land of Harald son of John, which was of Robert son of Osbert on the west side, the limits of which abut towards the north and towards the south upon Philip's land, namely the whole land which John had in those places with appurtenances. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance. Paying yearly to the lords of the fee of that tenement at the terms appointed in the soke the service which pertains to that land, for all services, secular customs, suits of court and demands.
