Description

Folio: 371. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Hamelin Coper of Grimolby [Grimoldby].

Second party: Andrew, son of Odo Galle of Saufletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: The whole land which lies on the north side of Hamelin's embankment, extending towards le Sikegate, which Hamelin held of the alms of the Hospital of [St John of] Jerusalem. To hold of Hamelin and heirs to Andrew and his heirs or assigns freely, quietly, absolutely and honourably, in fee and inheritance, paying 2d yearly to Hamelin and his heirs, namely 1d at Easter and 1d at Michaelmas, for all earthly service and secular exaction.

County: [Lincolnshire].
