Description

Folio: 370. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Final concord.

First party: Richard, son of Humphrey, the parson of a moiety of the church of St Peter of Saufleteby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Odo Galle.

Place or subject: Five acres of land with appurtenances in Saufleteby [Saltfleetby]. Whereupon Odo called to warrant Robert, prior of Lekeburne [Legbourne], who came and warranted to him in the same court. And whereupon a jury was summoned between them there as to whether those five acres should be free alms pertaining to a moiety of the church of St Peter of Saufleteby [Saltfleetby] or the lay fee of the same Odo, Richard remitted and quitclaimed for himself and his successors to the prior and his successors and to Odo and his heirs forever the whole of his right and claim in that land. For the quitclaim and concord the prior granted Richard and his successors and the church of St Peter five acres of land in the same vill, namely in the field called Northcroft, to have in pure and perpetual alms freely and quietly from all secular exaction.

County: [Lincolnshire].

Additional people: Made before Gerard de Canvill' [Camville], William de Huntingesfeld [Huntingfield], Master Eustace de Faucerberge [Fauconberg], James de Poterne [Potterne], Walter de Crepping, William de Furnel', and Robert de Aumar', itinerant justices.

Made in the king's court at Lincoln.

The octave of Michaelmas, 10 John.
