Description

Folios: 368v-369. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Michael de Odiam in Salfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip, son of Peter Galle.

Place or subject: Two and a half acres of arable land lying in the territory of Salfletby [Saltfleetby], one acre and three perches of which lie between the lands of Master John Galle on both sides and abut towards the north upon le Flet and towards the south upon the land of Alice, daughter of Walter at Church, and three perches lie next to Mikeldik between the land of Master John on the west side and the land of St Clement on the east side, and athey but towards the south upon le Flet and towards the north upon le Kryke. For a certain sum of money which Philip gave to Michael in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs or assigns of Michael and his heirs freely, quietly, well and in peace, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to Alice, daughter of Walter de Salfletby [Saltfleetby] 2½d within the octave of Michaelmas for all services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
