Description

Folio: 368. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: William, son of Osbert de Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip Galle of the same vill.

Place or subject: The whole arable land with appurtenances which William had 'Atquenesbrig', the whole land with appurtenances which he had in the place called Schualn, a croft, surrounded by a ditch, lying at Philip's mill, called Millenecrofte, the whole meadow with appurtenances lying in the place called Milleneengland, which issued to William from the inheritance of his father and mother, and the whole meadow with appurtenances which William had in the north meadows of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby], lying at Stenesbricg and elsewhere there. With appurtenances, liberties and easements without any reservation, for a certain sum of money which Philip gave to William in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs or assigns of the lord of the fee freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to the lord of the fee the services belonging to that land for all services, secular customs, suits of courts and demands.
