Description

Folio: 367v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: William, son of Osbert Frankys of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip Galle of the same vill.

Place or subject: A third part of four acres of meadow in the territory of Saltfetby [Saltfleetby] lying in the place called Milnehenglantt, between the land formerly of Richard son of Humphrey on the west side and the land of Walter son of Andrew on the east side, the sides of which abut towards the north upon the land formerly of Richard son of Humphrey and towards the south upon le Mardic, namely the whole land which William had there, with appurtenances and easements. For one mark which Philip gave to William in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, well, in peace and inheritance, paying yearly to William and his heirs 2d at two terms of the year, namely 1d at Christmas and 1d at the feast of St Botolph, for all services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
