Description

Folios: 365-365v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Robert, son of Robert Lindessaye [Lindsey] of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip Galle of the same vill.

Place or subject: Sixteen acres of land with appurtenances lying in the territory of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby], six acres of arable land of which lie next between Philip's lands of Philip on the east side and of Walter de le Croftes on the west side, and they abut towards the north upon Philip's land and that of Walter and towards the south upon the meadows. Five acres lie next between the land which was of William, son of Robert son of Avinn on the east side and the land of Alice, daughter of Walter de Saltfletby [Saltfleetby] on the west side, whose sides abut towards the north upon le Neudicgate and towards the south upon the land which was of Thomas de Lindessay [Lindsey]. And five acres of meadow lie next between the meadow of Agnes, daughter of William de Boneir, on the west side and the meadow of William son of Gilbert on the east side, and they abut towards the south upon the meadow of Walter son of Petronella and towards the north upon Philip's land. With all liberties, easements and appurtenances without any reservation, for a certain sum of money which Philip gave to Robert in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, rendering yearly to the lord of the fee the service which belongs to that land for all services, secular customs and demands.
