Folio: 359. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Quitclaim.
First party: Gilbert, son of William Coleman of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby].
Second party: Philip, son of Odo Galle of the same vill.
Place or subject: Four 'falls' and 36½ 'falls' of meadow in the territory of the vill of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby], lying between the lands of Gilbert son of Solomon on the east side and Philip's land of the west side, whose sides abut upon Gilbert's land and the land which was of Peter Galle towards the south and upon the land of Thomas son of Gilbert towards the north. For 100s which Philip gave to Gilbert in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs of Gilbert and his heirs freely and quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance with all appurtenances. Paying 4d yearly to Thomas, son of Gilbert son of Avin and his heirs, namely 1d at each of the feasts of Christmas, Easter, St Botolph and Michaelmas for all services, customs and demands.
