Description

Folio: 358. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: William, son of Humphrey de Manneby [Manby].

Second party: Peter, son of Odo Galle of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Nine acres of meadow and one perch with appurtenances in the south meadows of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby], lying in one place called Kirnedayle next between the meadow of Master Robert de Milay on the west side and the meadow of the nuns of Lekeburn [Legbourne] on the east side, and they abut towards the north upon the meadow of the abbot and convent of Parco Lud [Louth Park] and towards the south upon le Adic. For a certain sum of money which Peter gave to William in his great need in advance. To hold to Peter and his heirs and assigns of William and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to William and his heirs one clove within the quindene of St Botolph for all secular services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
