Description

Folio: 357. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Walter, son of Wygot del Holm.

Second party: Philip Galle of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Eight acres of land in the same vill in Walter's marsh of Holm, lying next between the lands of Walter de Oxcumbe on both sides, and they extend in length from the bank towards the south as far as le Therdic towards the north, and whatever Walter had there, with the ditches going around, and with free entry and exit, containing in width the measure of twelve feet, through the middle of Walter's toft on the east side from Adic as far as that land, with his wagon and cart and beasts, and with all things which are pleasing to him, whenever he wishes, and with all appurtenances and easements. To hold to Philip and his heirs or assigns of Walter and his heirs freely, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying 2d yearly to Walter and his heirs, namely 1d at the feast of St Botolph and 1d at Michaelmas, for all services, customs and exactions.
