Description

Folios: 355-355v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Peter, son of Odo Galle of Salflet' [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Walter, son of John son of Osbert de Salfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Four acres of land and one perch with appurtenances in Salfletby [Saltfleetby], namely two acres of meadow, one perch and two acres of pasture, and they lie in Heyngcroft and Neucroft between Walter's land on the east side and the land of William, son of William, and Peter's land, which Alan Gysel holds of the same Peter during his life on the west side, and abutting towards the south upon Walter's land and towards the north upon Peter's ditch. For his homage. To hold to Walter, his heirs or assigns, excepting religious men and Jews, of Peter and his heirs freely, quietly and in right of inheritance, paying yearly to Peter and his heirs 10s at two terms of the year, namely 5s at the feast of St Botolph and 5s at Michaelmas, for all secular services, wards, reliefs, customs, exactions, demands and suits of court, excepting commons and views of the vill, which belong to that land, and two appearances a year at Peter's court of Saltfletb' [Saltfleetby], which is to say at the next court after Easter and at the next court after Michaelmas, and 'sacrabar', when it happens.
