Description

Folio: 354. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: John, son of Osbert de Saltfletby [Saltfleetby], with the advice and assent of Mariota, his wife.

Second party: Philip Galle of the same vill.

Place or subject: Two selions of arable land with appurtenances lying in the same territory of the same vill, which contain one and a half acres and fourteen 'falls' between Philip's land on the east side and the land of Nicholas, son of Martin de Schitebroch [Skidbrooke] on the west side, and they abut towards the north upon le Grest and towards the south upon le Flete. Without any reservation, for a certain sum of money which Philip gave to John in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to John and his heirs 4d at four terms of the year appointed in the soke for all secular services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
