Description

Folio: 352. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Odo Galle.

Second party: Peter Galle, his brother.

Place or subject: Sixteen acres of land in the territory of Salfletebi [Saltfleetby] on the south side of Neudich next to the land which was of Alunneth on the east, 7½ acres where Anke was living, 6½ acres of meadow which lie on the west side of the house of Roger Pian, five acres at the house of Robert son of Harald, half of a meadow of Odo's father next to the house of Joscelin Galle, namely on the side towards the south, half of that share of Odo's father in the marsh of Holm towards the east, and ten marks for a quitclaim which he made to Odo and his heirs from Peter and his heirs of the chief messuage in which Walter Galle, Odo's father, lived in Salfletebi [Saltfleetby], with the patronage of the church of St Clement, and of all lands of Odo's father in Saltfleetby and Manneby [Manby] with all appurtenances. Both parties are to do service to the chief lords for the lands they hold.
