Description

Folio: 352. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Elizabeth and Alice, daughters of Andrew, son of Hugh de Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip, son of Odo Galle of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: One selion of land in the same vill lying between the lands of William Pormort on both sides, and it abuts towards the north upon Philip's land and towards the south upon Elizabeth's and Alice's lands, with all appurtenances. They also gave Philip 2d of annual rent which Alan Museta, their brother, ought and was accustomed to pay to them for the land he held of them in the same vill. They have also quitclaimed to Philip and his heirs all lands, tenements and rents with appurtenances which he holds in the vill of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby] and in its territories by the gift or sale of Andrew, their father, for the service and aid which Philip made to them in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs and assigns of Elizabeth and Alice and their heirs freely, peacefully, by inheritance and quietly from all services, customs and exactions.
