Description

Folios: 349v-350. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: William, son of Nicholas de Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip, son of Odo Galle of the same vill.

Place or subject: The toft and croft in Saltfletby [Saltfleetby] where Nicholas, William's father, once lived lying between the land of Andrew son of Hugh on the west side and the land of Robert son of William on the east side, and they extend in length from Neudic towards the south as far as the land of Andrew son of Hugh and the land of John, William's brother, towards the south, with buildings, free entrance and exit with all liberties, easements and all appurtenances pertaining to that land within the vill and outside. Fully and entirely without any reservation. For six marks which Philip gave to William. To hold to Philip and his heirs and assigns of William and his heirs freely, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to William and his heirs 12d, namely 6d at Easter and 6d at Michaelmas, for all services, customs and exactions.
