Description

Folio: 347v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Anne de Manneby [Manby], late wife of Henry de Marisco of Theteltropp [Theddlethorpe].

Second party: Philip Galle of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Two selions of arable land with appurtenances in the territory of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby] lying in a place called Thirnolleme between the land which was of William the clerk of Holme on the west side and the land of John de Oxecumbe, son of Walter, on the east side, whose limits abut towards the north upon le Mardic and towards the south upon Neudelgate. Without any reservation. For 20s which Philip gave to Anne in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to Anne and her heirs one clove at the feast of St Botolph for all services, secular customs, suits of courts and demands.
