Description

Folio: 346. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Agreement.

First party: Robert, son of Osbert de Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip Galle of the same vill.

Place or subject: Robert demised at farm to Philip the whole of his meadow with appurtenances which he had in the south meadows, lying between Philip's meadow on both sides, whose limits abut towards the south upon le Adic and towards the north upon the land which was formerly of Semeville. Without any reservation. For a certain sum of money which Philip gave to Robert in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, absolutely and entirely until the end of nine years next following. After the end of that term of nine years and after nine crops have been fully received by Philip or his heirs entirely, this meadow will return to Robert and his heirs without challenge or claim from Philip or his heirs.
