Description

Folio: 338v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Quitclaim.

First party: Geva, late wife of William, son of Robert de Salfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Master John Galle of the same.

Place or subject: The whole of her right and claim in the name of dower in her free widowhood or in any other way in five acres of meadow in the vill of Salfletby [Saltfleetby], lying between John's land on the east side and the land which Gilbert, son of Avisia of Thedelthorp [Theddlethorpe] holds on the west side, and it abuts towards the north upon le Grest and towards the south upon Saltergate. Also all her right and claim in one ditch in the same vill on the east side of Walthenwange between le Mardicgate and le Neudicgate, which meadow and ditch Master Philip Galle, John's brother, had from the gift of the late William, Geva's husband. For a certain sum of money which John gave to Geva in advance.
