Description

Folios: 337v-338. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Alice, daughter of Richard de Flette of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip Galle of the same vill.

Place or subject: 4½ acres of land and sixteen 'falls' with appurtenances in the territory of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby], lying next between the land of Richard son of Mathey on the north side and le Flette on the south side, and they abut towards the east upon the land of Agnes, Alice's sister, and towards the west upon the land of Margaret, Alice's sister, and upon the land of the church of St Peter of the same vill, which came to Alice as her share after the death of her father Richard. Without any reservation for a certain sum of money which Philip gave to Alice in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to the lord of the fee the services and customs belonging to that land for all things and secular demands.
