First party: Peter, son of Odo Galle of Saufletby [Saltfleetby].
Second party: John, son of Martin de Holm.
Place or subject: One plot of land which contains two and a half acres and thirteen 'falls', with all appurtenances, lying next between the land of Martin de Holm, father of John himself, on the east side, and the land of Gilbert Fyte on the west side, and it abuts upon le Adik. To hold to John for life of Peter and his heirs freely, quietly, well and in peace, in such a way that he cannot give, sell or alienate these lands to religious men or Jews. John will sustain all charges and commons of the vill which belong to this land. Paying yearly to Peter and his heirs 40d at four terms of the year, namely 10d at each of the feasts of Christmas, Easter, St Botolph and Michaelmas, for all earthly services, suits of courts and demands, excepting 'sacrabar', when it happens.
