Description

Folio: 336. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Nungwin son of Aldith.

Second party: Reginald, his son.

Place or subject: Three and a half acres in the territory of Salfletebi [Saltfleetby] lying in Smerecroft, namely those which Nungwin bought from Robert Raithebi, and they lie between five perches of meadow which Nungwin sold to the monks of Parco Lude [Louth Park], and between the toft which Reginald holds from the house of the hospital. For his aid and service. To hold of Robert de Raitebi [Raithby], just as Nungwin's next heir, in fee and inheritance, freely, quietly, absolutely and honourably, paying to Robert son of Ingram 10d at the four terms, namely 2½d at Christmas, Easter, St Botolph and Michaelmas, and one pound of pepper on the day of St John the Baptist, for all service and exaction.
