Description

Folio: 333. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: William and Adam, sons of Richard Picara of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip Galle of the same vill.

Place or subject: Three acres of land with the toft and messuage where the said Richard, the father, and Hugh, his brother, at one time lived in the vill of Salfletby [Saltfleetby], lying next between the land of Herbert, son of Robert of the same vill, on the west side, and the land of Clement son of Anger on the east side, and they abut towards the north upon the ditch and towards the south upon le Mardicgate, and two acres of arable land lying on the north side of the ditch next between the lands of Herbert and Clement on the west side and east, abutting towards the south upon that ditch. And one acre and one perch of meadow lying in Prudecroft next between Herbert's meadow and Clement's meadow. Without any reservation. For a certain sum of money which Philip gave to them in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to the lord of the fee 11½d at four terms of the year appointed in the soke for all secular services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
