Description

Folio: 332. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Walter, son of Andrew de Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip Galle of the same vill.

Place or subject: Three selions of arable land with appurtenances lying in the territory of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby] next between the land of William, son of Walter of Legreste, on the west side and the land of Gilbert, son of Hugh son of Gille, on the east side. And they abut towards the north upon the land which was of Osbert, son of Maud de Legreste and towards the south upon Saltergate. And whatever Walter had or in any case could have in that place with pits and appurtenances without any reservation. For a certain sum of money which Philip gave to Walter in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs or assigns freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yealy to the lord of the fee 5d at the terms appointed in the soke for all secular services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
