Description

Folio: 331. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Walter, son of Andrew de Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip Galle of the same vill.

Place or subject: One acre and one perch of land with appurtenances lying in the territory of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby], three perches of which lie in two selions next between the land of Philip de Boneir on the north side and the land of Philip le Waasur [Vavasour] on the south side, and they abut towards the west upon the land of Robert son of William and towards the east upon Philip's land; and one perch lies on the north side of le Flette next between the land of Ranulf Pia on the west side and Philip's land on the east side, and it abuts towards the north upon le Greste and towards the south upon Walter's meadow; and one perch of meadow lies in le Cucroftes next between the land of Ranulf Pia on the west side and the land of Robert son of Iveta on the east side, and abutting towards the south upon Philip's land and towards the north upon le Flette. Without any reservation. For a certain sum of money which Philip gave to Walter in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs of Walter and his heirs freely, quietly, in fee and inheritance, paying 2d yearly to Walter and his heirs at two terms of the year, namely 1d at Christmas and 1d at Michaelmas, for all secular services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
