Description

Folio: 329v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Sale.

First party: Alice, daughter of William Burell of Salfletby [Saltfleetby], widow.

Second party: Philip Galle.

Place or subject: Two acres of land and one perch less in the territory of Salfletb' [Saltfleetby] lying between Philip's land on the west side and the land of Richard son of Matthew on the east side, and they abut towards the north upon the land of William son of Robert Gamell, upon the land of Robert son of William, and upon le Flet towards the south, and three selions of arable land lying between the way and the land of William Mole, from the length of Flet as far as William's land. For four marks. To hold to Philip and his heirs of Alice and her heirs freely, quietly, well, in peace and inheritance with all appurtenances, paying yearly to Alice and her heirs one clove at the feast of St Botolph for all secular services, customs and demands.
