Description

Folios: 328v-329. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Agreement.

First party: Thomas de Lindessay [Lindsey].

Second party: Philip Galle.

Place or subject: Thomas has demised at farm to Philip four acres of meadow with appurtenances in the territory of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby] lying in the north meadows, namely two acres lying in the place called Kammecroft, and two acres on the north side of Kammecroft. The demise is made fully and entirely without any reservation for 100s which Philip gave to Thomas in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, entirely, well and in peace until the end of twenty years next following, and after twenty crops have been fully and entirely received from that land. After this the land will return to Thomas and his heirs without challenge or claim of Philip or his heirs. Philip will receive the first crop in 1256.
