First party: John, son of Robert de Saufledby [Saltfleetby].
Second party: Philip Galle, son of Odo Galle of Saufledby [Saltfleetby].
Place or subject: Two selions of land in the territory of Saufledby [Saltfleetby], namely lying in Addecroft, the sides of which abut upon le Maredik towards the sun and upon Agmare towards the north, and one selion of which lies between the land formerly of Robert son of Wygot on the west side, and the land which was of Andrew son of Angrim on the east side, and the other selion lies between the great ditch and the land which was of Andrew son of Angrim; and three selions and one gore, abutting upon Agmare towards the sun, and upon Cucroft towards the north, and they lie between the great ditch on the east side, and the land which was of Andrew son of Angrim on the west side; and three selions abutting upon le Cucroft towards the north, one selion of which, nearer on the east, abuts upon the land which was of Andrew son of Angrin towards the sun, and the sides of those two selions upon the land of William son of Robert, similarly towards the sun, and they lie between the lands which were of Andrew son of Angrim on the east side, and the lands of William son of Robert on the west side; and the whole part of the land which John had in the great ditch with appurtenances; and the whole third part of the land with appurtenances which John had in Agmare, and also the whole of that land which John bought from Adam, his brother, concerning which the charter John had from Adam bears witness, with all appurtenances. For eleven marks sterling which Philip gave to John. To hold to Philip, his heirs and assigns freely, quietly and peacefully, paying yearly to the lord of the fee 23¼d at the terms appointed in the soke for all services, customs and demands.
