Description

Folio: 326v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Agreement.

First party: Thomas de Lindessay [Lindsey].

Second party: Philip Galle of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Thomas demised at farm to Philip the whole land with appurtenances which he had in the vill of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby] called Vilgriscrofte, lying next between the land of William son of Walter on the west side and the land of the lord of Stifton [Stewton] on the east side, and abutting towards the north upon le Griste and towards the south upon the way called Saltergate. The agreement is made fully and entirely without any reservation, for a certain sum of money which Philip gave to Thomas in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs and assigns until the end of twelve years from that day and year until Philip and his heirs or assigns have fully received twelve crops therefrom. Once those twelve years and have elapsed and twelve crops have been fully received by Philip or his heirs, which will be in the year 1268, the land with appurtenances will return to Thomas and his heirs without impediment or challenge from Philip or his heirs or assigns
