Description

Folios: 323v-324. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Philip Galle of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: William, son of William of the same vill.

Place or subject: One and a half acres of arable land with appurtenances lying in the territory of the same vill upon Hillesgatefurlonges next between the land of Elias de Rabayn on the east side and Philip's land on the west side, and abutting towards the south upon Philip's land and towards the north upon the Greste. For his homage and service, saving foreign service. To hold to William and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully and in inheritance of Philip and his heirs, paying yearly to Philip and his heirs 6d at two terms of the year, namely 3d at the feast of St Botolph and 3d at Michaelmas, for all services, customs and demands, saving foreign service.
