Description

Folio: 323. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Margaret, daughter of John le Peyntur of Saufleteby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip Galle of Saufleteby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Three acres of land and one perch in the territory of Saufletteby [Saltfleetby] from the place called Holme, three perches of which lie between the land of Gilbert the carpenter and his wife on the west side and that of Philip himself on the east side; and one perch between the land of the same Gilbert the carpenter on the west side and the land of Gilbert Pyr on the east side, the limits of which abut upon le Nudelgate towards the north and upon le Aadic towards the south; and half an acre lies in Holm on the north side of the house of Martin de Holme, and it abuts upon le Midelgate towards the north and upon Philip's land Philip towards the south, without any reservation. To hold to Philip and his heirs and assigns of Margaret and his heirs, doing the service to the chief lords of the fee, namely 8d a moiety, for all services, customs and demands.
