Folio: 320v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.
First party: Hugh the clerk, son of Osbert de Legreste of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].
Second party: Philip Galle of the same vill.
Place or subject: One toft, surrounded by a ditch, with houses thereupon, liberties, easements and appurtenances, lying in the same vill at le Greste between the land of William, son of Walter of le Greste, on the west side and the land which was of William, son of Hugh son of Gille on the east side, and it abuts towards the north upon le Griste and towards the south upon Philip's land, which he had of the gift of Hugh the clerk; and whatever he had in that place wth appurtenances, liberties and easements, without any reservation, for a certain sum of money paid in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs or assigns freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to the lord of the fee 12d at two terms, namely 6d at Easter and 6d at Michaelmas, for all secular services, customs, suits of court and demands.
