Description

fFolio: 320. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Hugh the clerk, son of Osbert de Legreste of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip Gall of the same vill.

Place or subject: One acre of meadow and one perch with appurtenances, lying in the territory of Salfletby [Saltfleetby] between the land of William, son of Walter, on the west side, and the land of William, son of Hugh, son of Gille, on the east side. The limits of which abut upon the south upon Saltergate and towards the north upon Hugh's lands. And three perches of arable land with appurtenances, lying between the land of William, son of Walter, on the east side, and the land, which Osbert Wyter holds on the west side. For one mark of silver, which the said Philip gave to the said Hugh in advance. To hold to the said Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to the lord of the fee 6½d at the terms appointed in the soke for all secular services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
