Description

Folio: 318v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Robert the priest, son of Stepy.

Second party: Maud and Alice, his sisters.

Place or subject: A toft on the east side of the house of Alan, Robert's brother, as far as Kyppetofthdic, and four acres of arable land in the territory of Salfletby [Saltfleetby], two acres of which lie at the side of Kyppetofthdic between the lands of Alan, Robert's brother, and Andrew, son of Odo Galle, two acres, one perch within the sikes, lying between the lands of the same Alan and Andrew Edich, and one perch of land in the marsh towards the east, lying between Alan's land and Kyppetofth. To hold duirng all the days of their life freely, quietly, well and in peace, paying yearly to Alan, Robert's brother, and his heirs 8d at the four terms of the farm of the soke. But if Robert's sisters die during Robert's life, this land, saving the rent of 8d, will revert to Alan, his brother, and his heirs.
