First party: Gilbert, son of Salo at the bridge of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby].
Second party: Philip Galle.
Place or subject: One selion of arable land in the territory of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby] lying between Philip's land on both sides, and it abuts towards the south upon Philip's ditch, and towards the north upon the croft of Richard Stepi, without any reservation. For a certain sum of money which Philip gave to Gilbert in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs or assigns freely, quietly, peacefully and honourably in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to Gilbert and his heirs one clove at the feast of St Botolph for all secular services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
