Description

Folios: 315-315v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Agreement.

First party: Master John, son Odo Galle of Salfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Walter, son of Richard of the same, clerk.

Place or subject: John has demised at farm to Walter and his heirs and assigns the whole share of William Cosyn, son of Philip de Burgo, in the vill and territory of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby], falling in by the death of Richard son of Winfred, in the arable lands, tofts, crofts, meadows, pastures, ways, paths, waters and in all places within that vill and outside, together with William's share falling in Lekeburnecroft, with all liberties, appurtenances and easements belonging to that land, without any reservation, excepting the right of advowson which he has in the church of St Peter there, the mill, wardships, reliefs, rents, homages and escheats, which shares Master John has in the same vill and outside by William's grant. To hold to Walter and his heirs and assigns from the feast of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary until the end of four years next following. Paying yearly to John and his heirs two marks at two terms of the year, namely one mark at the feast of St Botolph and one mark at Michaelmas, for all secular services, customs, suits of court and demands.
