Description

Folio: 310. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Walter, son of Roger de Bemingb' [Beningbrough].

Second party: Roger son of Thomas.

Place or subject: One toft which lies between the toft of Roger, son of Ivo Herl and the toft of Alan son of Eda, just as the ditch encloses it; and two selions which lie upon Staynholme between the land of Eustace de Kotes on the one side and the land of William son of Godwin on the other side, which extend from Thornedalesike in length as far as the headland of Richard Cukewald, and on the south side of the same vill one selion which lies next between the land of Philip de Mythley [Methley] and the land of William son of Godwin, and they abut upon the land of the church towards the south and upon the land of Henry de Angulam towards the north. For his homage and service. To hold with all appurtenances and easements within the vill and outside to Roger and his heirs or assigns freely, quietly and peacefully forever of Walter and his heirs, paying 8d every single year to Roger and his heirs at the feast of St Botolph.
