Description

Folios: 308v-309. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: William de Manneby [Manby], son of Richard de Thatwell [Tathwell].

Second party: Philip Galle of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Nine acres of meadow with appurtenances in the territory of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby] lying in the place called Gunnicroft next between Philip's land, which he gave to Peter, his brother, on the east side and William's land on the west side, the limits of which abut towards the south upon le Hadicgate and towards the north upon le Midelgate. For a certain sum of money paid in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs of William and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to William and his heirs one pair of white gloves at the feast of St Botolph for all secular services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
