Description

Folio: 308v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Peter Galle of Manneby [Manby].

Second party: Richard, son of Gilbert le Vavasur [Vavasour] of Salfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: One plot of meadow in the west meadows of Salfletby [Saltfleetby] lying next between the meadow of Gilbert le Vavasur on the south side and the meadow of Thomas son of Arnold on the north side, abutting towards the west upon the meadow of John Wycat and towards the east upon the meadow of the heirs of William son of Walter. And this plot contains eighteen 'falls' in length and seven 'falls' in width. To hold to that plot with that length and width and all appurtenances, liberties, commodities and easements to Richard during his life from Peter and his heirs freely, quietly, entirely, well and in peace, paying every single year as long as he is alive 20d to Peter and his heirs at the four terms of the year appointed in the soke of Geyton [Gayton le Marsh], namely 5d at each of the feasts of Michaelmas, Christmas, Easter and St Botolph, for all secular service, custom, suits of courts, exactions and demands.
