Description

Folio: 307. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Quitclaim.

First party: Andrew, son of William, son of Isabel de Saudfledby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip Galle of Saufledby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: The rent of 11d with all appurtenances which Andrew used to receive from William, the man of Alice, and his partners, namely with Margaret, his wife, and Lucy, Margaret's sister, at the four terms appointed in the soke, for the tenement which they held in purparty of William in Saufledby [Saltfleetby], that is, for two acres of land in Smerescroft lying between Philip's land Philip towards the east and the land of Walter Oxcumb towards the west, the limits of which abut upon le Maregate Dikgate towards the north. And also for three acres of land lying between the land of Walter son of William towards the west and the land of Robert Fuke towards the east, the limits of which abut towards the north upon the croft of Walter de Oxcumb and towards the south upon the land of Gilbert, son of Solomon. For a certain sum of money, which the said Philip gave to the said Andrew. To hold freely, quietly, peacefully and in inheritance from all services.
