Description

Folios: 306v-307. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: William, son of Richard de Tathewell [Tathwell].

Second party: Philip Galle of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: One croft, surrounded by ditches, in the territory of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby], called Gunnicroft, lying between the lands of Peter Galle on the east side and Robert le Mylay of Raytheby [Raithby] on the west, the northern side of which abuts upon le Midelgate and the side towards the south upon le Adike, and whatever he had in that place, without any reservation, both in meadows and also in arable lands and in all other things, for a certain sum of money paid in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs from William and his heirs freely, quietly, in fee and inheritance, paying 4s 8d annually to the lord of the soke at the four terms, appointed in the soke, for all secular service, exaction, suits of court and demand.
