Description

Folios: 304v-305. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Ranulf, son of Adam Pya of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip Galle of the same.

Place or subject: One selion in the territory of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby] lying between Ranulf's land on the south side and Philip's land on the north side, whose head abuts towards the west upon the land of Robert, son of William son of Robert Mol, and it is turned upon the land which was formerly of Adam le Wasur [Vavasour], namely the whole land and the whole right which Ranulf had or could have, with appurtenances in that place. For half a mark of silver which Philip gave to Ranulf in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely and quietly, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to Ranulf and his heirs one halfpenny of silver at the feast of St Botolph for all services and customs, suits of courts and demands.
