Description

Folios: 303-303v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Sale.

First party: William Raven of Salfletby [Saltfleetby] and Iveta, his wife.

Second party: Andrew, son of Odo Galle of the same vill.

Place or subject: One toft and one croft with buildings in the vill of Salfletby [Saltfleetby] with all appurtenances, for ten marks which Andrew gave tod William, lying between Apolcroft on the east side and the meadow of William, the man of Alice on the west side, and one head abuts upon le Maredic on the north side, and the other head upon the meadow of the monks of Parco Lide [Louth Park] on the south side. To hold to Andrew and his heirs of William and his heirs freely, quietly and in inheritance, well and in peace, paying yearly to William and his heirs 26d and one pound of pepper at the four terms of the year, namely 2½d at Christmas, 10½d at Easter, 2½d at the feast of St John the Baptist and one pound of pepper, and 10½d at Michaelmas, for all secular services, customs and demands.
